Every case on RadLearn is prepared by the editorial team and checked against the source record before publication. The people responsible are listed below, together with the checks each case goes through.

RadLearn editorial team Editorial team

The RadLearn editorial team prepares each case, checks internal consistency between history, findings and diagnosis, and keeps the English consistent.

Preparation and review are handled by the same editorial team; the checks below are applied to every case.

What each case goes through

  1. Sourcing. The case is taken from an openly licensed teaching collection; the source is recorded on the case page and any attribution required by that licence is preserved.
  2. Consistency. History, imaging findings and the confirmed diagnosis are checked against each other; a case with an unresolved contradiction is not published.
  3. Differential. Every alternative diagnosis must carry a feature that argues against it, and the confirmed diagnosis must not appear in its own differential list.
  4. Language. British English and conventional reporting terms throughout (BI-RADS descriptors, standard modality names).
  5. Figures. Images are checked for orientation, captions and anatomy labels; the first figure is the one that carries the diagnosis.

Assistance and limits

Translation and drafting are assisted by automated tools. A human editor checks every case before publication, but this is an educational library, not a second-read service: nothing here is a substitute for clinical judgement. See the medical disclaimer.

Corrections

If a case is wrong, outdated or mislabelled, tell us with the case URL. Corrections are applied to the page and the “last updated” date is refreshed; the editorial policy describes the process.
